Support
Help with your account, privacy choices, reporting, blocking, and safe use of Spendol.
Updated August 9, 2026
1. Contact support
Email support@spendol.com for product help, account access, privacy requests, or safety concerns. Include the email address connected to your Spendol account and a short description of the issue, but do not send passwords, authentication codes, full payment-card details, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
We review support and safety requests as promptly as practical. If someone may be in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service first.
2. Delete your account
Deletion requires an active internet connection. It removes your profile, private expenses, receipts, photos, invitations, push tokens, and offline app data. Minimal accounting fields in records shared with other people remain so their balances are not corrupted, but your profile identity, notes, locations, images, and receipt links are removed or anonymized.
If you cannot sign in, email support@spendol.com from your account email and ask for account deletion. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you.
- Open Spendol and go to Settings, then Account.
- Under Danger zone, choose Delete account.
- Review both confirmation messages and choose Delete account to finish.
3. Report or block a user
Blocking does not erase shared accounting records that other participants rely on. Those records remain available in an anonymized form. You can also email support@spendol.com if the in-app controls are unavailable.
- Open the person from Friends and use Report to send spam, harassment, inappropriate-content, fraud, or other concerns for review.
- Choose Block user to remove the friendship, prevent new invitations between you, and hide their profile identity.
- Open Group settings and choose Report this group to report group-level content or conduct.
4. Privacy choices
- Update your name and email from Settings, then Account.
- Control contacts, location, camera, photos, Face ID, and notifications through iOS Settings.
- Read the Privacy Policy for details about access, correction, portability, objection, restriction, and deletion rights.
5. Helpful details for troubleshooting
When reporting a technical problem, tell us which screen you were using, what you expected, what happened, and the Spendol app version shown on your device. Screenshots are helpful when they do not expose another person’s private information.
